Tazewell County recycles trees

Residents of Tazewell County can drop off fresh Christmas trees at various locations in the county to be recycled.

Drop offs will be accepted through Jan. 13 near the Village Hall in Armington, Freedom Hall in Morton, the Park District office in Washington or at a location behind the Village Hall in Hopedale.

The county’s health department reports the trees will be recycled into mulch and used for beautification projects, playgrounds and yards.
