Farm breakfast is Saturday

Enjoy a breakfast on the farm for only a dollar this Saturday (June 8) at Kilgus Farmstead, 21471 East 670 North Road south of Fairbury.

The Livingston County Farm Bureau Young Leaders group will serve biscuits and gravy, eggs, milk and orange juice from 7-10 a.m. There will also be free farm tours, kids activities, chances to meet a farmer and more.

“That is always a fun annual event,” said Joe Palen of the Livingston County Farm Bureau. “The goal behind it is to highlight how much of the food dollar the farmer actually receives and the breakfast is a dollar which represents the raw farm price.”
