The April 10 USDA WASDE report didn’t do farmers any harm.
Corn came in a bit lower than the average guess at 1.465 billion bushels. We are finally catching up on some of the big export demand seen in ethanol usage. Soybeans were at 375 million bushels and the estimate was 379. The wheat estimate was 825 million and it came in at 846.
Corn was below the average guess for world ending stocks. The average was 288.18 MMT and it came in at 287.7. The soybean estimate was 122.07 and it came in at 122.5.
In South America, corn in Brazil remained the same along with soybeans in Argentina and Brazil.
May corn was up 7 to 8 cents before the report then a high was made in the May.
Everyone was keeping a close eye on the stock market which started dropping Thursday again.
