The 2023 Pro Farmer Crop Tour estimates are in.

For corn, the national average yield is 172 bushels per acre and 14.690 billion bushels with soybeans at 49.7 bushels per acre and 4.110 billion bushels.

The Illinois corn yield was 203, Indiana 194, Ohio 192 and Iowa 197. 2023 crop estimates for soybeans are 62 bushels per acre in Illinois, 60.5 in Indiana, 57.5 for Ohio and 55 for Iowa.

Various crop scouts sampled thousands of fields across Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, Illinois, Ohio and Indiana. The estimates are based on crop tour data and observations collected over the past week in the Midwest.
