Six more weeks of winter?

No need to get your hopes up for an early spring as the famous groundhog saw his shadow on Sunday.

Punxsutawney Phil woke up and saw his shadow on Groundhog Day which means six more weeks of winter. On the years he doesn't see his shadow, an early spring is expected.

Legend indicates were are destined for an extended winter.

Not many in Central Illinois are complaining about the weather as we have seen plenty of days in the 40s and 50s lately and we could even see the upper 50s Monday. Some wintry precipitation is possible by the middle of the week however.
